In the heart of the Vineyard
The vineyards at Ruinello are at about 200 metres above sea level.
When the eye looks over towards the hill, it embraces and welcomes the beauty of a
panorama that is like no other, an example of how man and nature live together in
harmony, bringing satisfaction to each.
It is the love of work, beauty and nature that inspires the Achilli family. A tradition
that has been handed down through the generations, working to make this place,
which is unique in the world, every day more beautiful and fertile. The winery is
spread over 11 hectares of land, with plots that grow Croatina, Barbera, Pinot Nero,
Pinot Grigio, Riesling Italico D.O.C. vines. The use of clones that are particularly
appropriate for use in the microclimatic conditions of the area means that the grapes
mature particularly well, producing full-bodied wines.
The use of Pinot Nero and Bonarda clones means that wonderful grapes are produced
that are suitable for the production of magnificent aged red wines. The winery also
has 2 hectares of vineyard in the nearby villages of Montescano and Canneto Pavese
from which they obtain grapes that go to make Buttafuoco and Sangue di Giuda
wines.
Special care taken during the harvesting of the grapes is a guarantee of good quality
wines.
