Riesling Italico
Sparkling
The grapes
100% Riesling Italico cultivated “a guyout” and harvested in the second ten days of
September
Winemaking
White with immediate separation of the must from the pomace by means of a gentle
pressing followed by decanting of the must and then fermentation at a controlled
temperature.
Following this, the wine is decanted, filtered and stored in tanks.
Bottling
After refermentation in the autoclave, the wine is microfiltered and bottled
immediately.
Organoleptic characteristics
In the glass it is lively, straw-yellow in colour, with green reflections.
To the nose it is delicate, fine with pleasant hints of apple.
It has a fresh taste, it lingers and has an aftertaste that is reminiscent of banana.
Accompaniments
It combines well with light vegetable-based main courses, some fish dishes or cold
hors d’oeuvres.
Technical notes
The wine has an alcohol content of 11.5 % vol and should be served in white
burgundy-type glasses at a temperature of 10°C. Bottles should be stored horizontally
away from light and in a very cool place (if possible refrigerated). As it is a young
white wine, it is best drunk within a year.
