Nestling on the sweet slopes of the hills in the Versa valley, Cantina Ruinello enjoys a favourable position in an area that is particularly suitable for the cultivation of vines.
This is of course the famous "Oltrepo Pavese", a geographical area in the South of Lombardy, the fame of which has spread beyond the region and is synonymous with great wines. This is not a mystery to anyone: the land of Santa Maria della Versa, in virtue of the characteristics of its soil and climate, offers the best conditions for vine cultivation. Encouraged by favourable microclimatic conditions, history suggests there were settlements that were dedicated to the cultivation of the vine as early as the first century B.C.

Located in a dominant position, a place that invites contemplation, Ruinello Winery has much to offer.
Following traditional custom, the winery is made up of an underground section, where the fermentation, storage, addition of effervescence and barrelling take place. The constant temperature (20 °C) allows the wine to be preserved perfectly. Traditional techniques and advanced technology are combined in harmony, so as to offer a product that is always worthy of its fame. On the upper level of the winery there is the bottling area and the area where full bottles are kept while awaiting
shipping.
